Visiting ChristLife

What to expect when you come along

We gather every Sunday at: 492 South Street, Toowoomba
Our service starts at 9:30am

There is plenty of parking and seating available.
We will sing, pray, hear God's word, and hang out together afterwards.
Our kids program runs during the service.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

What to expect

Before the service

We meet in our church building at 492 South Street, Glenvale Toowoomba. As you drive in you’ll see the main building on the left that we meet in (you’ll see people and a sign). You’ll see the car park on the right, follow the road around and park in the car park there.

Church start at 9.30am but come 5 minutes early to sign in, drop your kids off, and grab a seat! (It’s ok if you are running late, you won’t cause a scene).

Dropping your kids off

As you enter the building, you’ll be met by some friendly faces. If you have kids, they can point you to where the kid's programs are run. The children join our primary and preschool children programs part way through the service.

Our kid's teachers are well-trained to run a safe and fun program for your kids. We’re confident that your children will enjoy their time, but if there’s any hesitation, you are welcome to bring them into the main hall with you.

We value the whole church family being together during the service; we also value clear, specific age, appropriate teaching.

During the service

As you walk in you are welcome to take any seat you are comfortable with. If you have a stroller or a little one, you are welcome to bring it all in, and we’ll have some extra space up the back if that helps.

Each service includes singing and praying. You can take a breath - you're not expected to join in with this.

Each week we read a section of the Bible and then one of our pastors will preach from this passage. We will look at what the Bible says and why that is relevant to us. The sermon usually goes for around 35 minutes.

After the service: stick around for a cuppa

After the service, if you have kids you can head to your kids rooms and pick them up. You are then invited to stay and chat and enjoy a drink and morning tea. You can stay as long or as little as you like.

We hope that helps and we’ll see you soon!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does church go for?

We start at 9:30am and finish around 10:45am. Morning tea in the hall continues after the service every week and you can stay for as long as you like.

Q. What should I wear?

There is no dress code so you are free to wear something comfortable.

Q. Will I have to do anything?

There are moments of active participation in our service where we will stand and sing, read aloud liturgy or creeds or prayers, and take part in the Lord’s Supper. You are free to be as involved as you want - or skip it altogether if you'd prefer.

Q. Do you have a children’s program on Sunday?

We have a program for children of preschool age, as well as primary school age. We start off together as a church family in the service, before children are invited to join the programs. Check out our Children’s Ministry.

Q. I have a baby who cries a lot. Am I welcome in church?

We welcome all types of babies at ChristLife. We encourage parents with babies to remain in the main church gathering, even if your child is making noise. However, if privacy or a quiet space is needed, have a Cry Room
behind the hall where nursing mums can breastfeed and unsettled infants can have a breakout space.

Q. Can I visit church if I’m not a Christian?

Everyone is welcome at ChristLife regardless of their background or religion. We run a Christianity Explored and courses for those who want to find out more about Jesus and the Christian faith.

We'd love to meet you this Sunday

We have newcomers checking us out every week.
If this is your first time visiting us be sure to say hello!
